I Put My Daydreams In A Teapcup

I only ever feel like blogging when I'm in a library haha. Which sucks because then I don't have any photos to upload:) Anyhoos, library is the new home for us Melb Uni students because exams commence next week. So everyday, we stock up on our jelly Squirms, Starbursts, coffee cups, lecture notes and laptop, and head off to the libraries to mug.

Kinda like the title of one of those Facebook groups - "I learn 90% of my course the week before exams''. Hear hear! Studying is such a drag. Its times like these when I think, Haiya how would be like if i didn't study Commerce? Maybe study fashion instead, or go to acting school....how fun.

I put my daydreams in a teacup, sip them away, and move on with my work.

After exams, hopefully when I'll have more time to blog, I'll upload all the overdue pictures from Halloween, Flare production, and our Dandenong trip. Oh oh and I think my flight back to Penang is confirmed for the 3rd of December! Yayyyyy! Can't wait:)

Til then.
Toodies!!

There's One In This World For Everyone

My favourite soundtrack of all time is A Cinderella Story. Some soundtracks have some good songs and some bad ones, and some you just get sick of after awhile. But the songs from A Cinderella Story I've been listening to for years yet I still love them as much as before.

Sometimes when you just feel like giving in to fairytales, cliches, happy-endings, love-conquers-all stories and all that Disney jazz, this is what you need to listen to. My top picks from the soundtrack:
I'll Be - Edwin McCain
The Best Day of My Life - Jesse McCartney
Now You Know - Kara Dioguardi
Sympathy - Goo Goo Dolls
One In This World - Haylie Duff

My birthday balloons!

Birthday flowers colour-coordinated to match the balloons :)

I've Fallen...So Now You Know

I am blogging so my blog looks more happening...

I really hope europhic feelings like this will come more often because I swear, I've experienced more stress in the past few months than I've ever had for the past 18 years.

BUT RIGHT NOW I AM HAPPY:)

Except for the fact that I think my face grew rounder. :( Anyway, thank god its winter so there's an excuse to cover legs, thus I can hide all the ugly bruises, cuts, and blueblacks that I've been getting from dance. So ugly.

My birthday was last week:) and I am sadly officially 19. A big mushy hug, kiss, slobber and thank you to Caitlin, Jiah Lit, Yee Hooi, Shen, Carmen, Jun Jing, Shereen, Suet, Paik Jin and Avanda for the birthday surprise. It was really sweet. Some of the cake is still in my fridge and I finished all the Roche gelati. Yums. And the balloons are still in my room:):) I loved my birthday this year. Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes<3

I have loads of pictures and I could post them up..but then there's the effort factor :)

Lazy Daisy

Hello all! I am feeling like a lazy daisy. Uni is too much. Maybe this is the initial feeling and maybe i'll get over it and settle in properly in a while. But for now, hello!!!! What's with this never-ending chain of homework and readings that keep pouring in? I am looking at books more than I ever did, and it feels so unnatural to have to keep reminding myself to study. This is bothering me. I cannot live for 3 years like that.

Anyhoos.

I jut returned from ladies night with Shereen and Suet. It was great having big laughs and sharing stories over sparkling wine. But I only get to see them on weekends, since they're in a different uni. Last Friday night, Shereen, Suet, Jiah Lit and I got all ready and were suppose to go for the Back2School event at Seven, but then right! Damn super potong, we were late, and hence, denied entry. The only way to get in was to queue in the general queue, which was basically, un-queue-able because it wasn't moving at all. So Shereen, Jiah Lit, Suet and I gave up and decided to go to another club off Lt. Flinders, which we've never been to before. (I don't even remember the name of it, sigh shows how potonged I felt).

Suet & Wen.

Met Tracy there, whom I haven't seen in so long:)

Saturday was Moomba, the annual water festival thing in Melbourne. Carmen, Shen, Jun Jing, Jiah Lit, Yee Hooi and I went together. I love these sort of fun fair + carnival things. They just give you a happy cheerful feeling. Then later that night we watched the fireworks display, and we were sitting pretty close to the water, so we got an upclose view:)

Yesterday the Shopaholic movie finally came out in Australia, so a few of us went to watch it. I think none of us were really expecting much, cuz you know how book-turned-movies are like. Butttt, it wasn't bad at all, if you can mentally erase how disappointing Luke Brandon turned out to look like. Successful Savings??!? Plus the facial hair, and a bad haircut. But overall, it was a light-hearted, entertaining movie that really did make me go awww at times:)

Oh and its official, Yee Hooi and I will begin cooking for Jesse the chef once a month. Yay, and hopefully he'll give some pointers on how to improve our cooking. Domesticism is on its way!

Til next time:) Toodledoo!

The Sociological Imagination

Did you know? People don't commit suicide because of personal issues eg. bad grades or heartbreak, but their relationship and sense of belongingness in society. So old people are more inclined to the idea of taking their own lives because they feel less attached to the world since they've 'had their shot at life' and their time is up. And suicide rate among women are generally lower because females form stronger ties and have deeper relations with others compared to men. Right right? Something I picked up in Sociology.

Anyhoos, here's one single picture from the Amazing Race last week. The person who took the photos had a bad quality camera, so the pictures I have are crappy, so I will only spoil your eyes with one picture.

Sunday night, Jiah Lit and I had a heehee, post-valentine's day valentine's day. Since we didn't get to celebrate valentine's back in malaysia, he took me to Hardware Lane (spelling?) for  good steak and good wine and umm, lots of toasting. I think I should ban myself from consuming too much cow.

Dear Shennie, thank you for the super pretty cupcake! I feel sad eating it up:) And thank you for leaving it along with a cute note at my doorstep. And thank you dear unknown passer-by who might have seen the cupcake on the floor but did not steal it despite its 'ooh this could be yummy' appearance.

Look at Yee Hooi. Black stockings, umbrella , LBD and all, looking noob on a rainy day...

Honk Honk!

Michele got to drive all by herself today. Finally, I got entrusted with parental faith to fetch my brother to his frisbee thingamathing. After getting my license since almost a million years ago.

Yay me! I know right, about one and half years too late.

Embrace the good positive energy.

Chocolates, Candies and All Things Yummy

Feeling happy happy.....its the cleansing and good surrounding.

You know how sometimes you see something and you are just SO determined to have it and no one can stop you no matter what? Well this time, I've set my eyes on this super super super super super super pretty dress that proves the existence of love at first sight. I was out with Sher Lyn and Eevon one day and we were walking talking walking talking when I spotted a manequin adorned in that 1920s-esque mini dress at the shop window. Abandoned friends, walked in, ignored approaching salesgirl, took dress, tried it on. Wheeee:) Now let's hope mum will give me the money to buy it. That's not even the bad part. You see, the dress comes in four colours..............and i like all four:):):):)

ZOH ZOH blast from the past:) I bumped into Cynthia working at starbucks that day. Still so sweet, still so skinny, still so loud. We were classmates/schoolmates from standard six til form 3, and we used to do young funny unimaginable things. Haha aww I miss her:) Imagine working at starbucks and getting a free employee's drink every day. I think I would explode in fats.

Off to the tennis court. *toodles*

My pregnant brother! Spot my ever-present lip balm :)

Tangled up in you.

Poserific

Lookie what i found! Pictures on my macbook's Photo Booth.

WARNING: May contain very unglam shots of people, mostly me.

ENJOY!

Caitlin and I.
I miss my apartment.

Umm, half of Jiah Lit's face blacked out:)

I love this picture. It shows how much I love Sher Lyn but she screams in fear instead.

My bolster, Baby.

'Like, oihh mahh gawwd just like, go away.'

Wind-blown and tilted at the same angle.

Glowers.

Too much library studying leads to photo-taking destressors.

Those are my specs! Give them back.

Yuck, i miss library time. Aww..more bubble tea please!

Toodles! Off to the treadmill.

Fleeting Thought: I need to lose all those Famous Amos calories i gained.

Home Is Where We Belong

A non-coherent post. Just chucking in whatever comes to mind.

Penang is home.
Melbourne is home.
Am i going home? Or leaving home?
I need to do well...12 DECEMBER!!!
Oh no...I might not have my happily ever after.
Its over, maybe?
Why so short-lived?
I'm fat. Doesn't matter what other people say.
Horrible feeling about this...
Packing...packing.
I don't do well with distance.
How?

Stop and Look Back, Just For A Second

Valedictory was today. And it felt quite sad la. It was only today during the ceremony did it hit me that Trinity has ended. One whole year gone just like that. Now there is nothing standing in between me and the university of melbourne, except the exam results. zomggg. Yeehooi was saying that today is somewhat like reflection day. Because now that it is all over, you finally stop and think about what you have actually achieved this year, how far you've gone, how much you've changed from before this and just ponder at the general fact that we've all grown up. sigh. time.

With that said, (in a more cheerful tone), congrats to the trinity feb main class of '08:) we've graduated:)

michele's valedictory look:)

It was such a pretty day. And i just had to take a picture at the sushi mark spot. teehee:)
shereen. shen. caitlin. michele. carmen. moon. yeehooi.

wengfai, why you flare nostrils at me.

After the ceremony, refreshments and finger food were served outdoors. I basically stalked this waitress because she was serving a tray of sotong balls-ish things that were so addictive. And she started noticing that I kept coming back for more, and commented "Wow, you're following me around huh." haha, so I just sort of grinned sheepishly and said  "Well they're yummy", took one last sotong ball and ran away.

After valedictory (and many sotong balls later), we went home, changed and left to go to the victoria night market for one last time this year. I had my yummy dinner of chicken teriyaki satay, spanish chicken conzuela and dutch pancakes. Such a global meal right right:) Many unglam pictures were taken during dinner that i have been instructed not to post up.
So toodles for now:)
