The Waters I Will Test

Confusion is such a hatable feeling. Its frustrating when you know you can do it and its in you but you're just not doing yourself justice at the right time and when it matters. And its even harder to keep it all inside and I hate it, so showing vulnerability is something I should learn.
What would going through fire be like?
All I know is, you've got hold your head strong and get through it. Or else you may just burn in the ruins of yourself.

I Wish Someone Would Just Whisk Me Off...Somewhere. Anywhere.

I need a break. Seriously.

Easter wasn't even a real break for me. Anyhoos, talk about a real scare. I went into my sociology tutorial today all happy and joyful, only to find out there was an assignment due TODAY and I didn't even know about it. Haven't even started writing. Haven't even read the question. Zomg, when I found out, I was hyperventilating in my mind. Zomg Zomg Zomg. So yeah, I was rushing to finish it, luckily its just a reallyy short essay, and I just submitted it online a few minutes ago.

What a scare.

Uni is awful.

Into The Wild

Michele LOLs at herself.
That udon-lookalike in my fridge are actually calamari rings. Haha I finally figured that out. Oh well, sorry I've never seen uncooked calmari rings before.

Anyway.

Believe it or not...
MICHELE WENT CAMPING!!!

Yes. With tents and everything:)

Haha I thought I'd do something different for this short holiday. So this Easter weekend, I decided to join Jiah Lit, his homestay family from Geelong and some of their family friends for a camping trip in Bimbi Park, Cape Otway. So we packed icky, camp-worthy clothes and set off:)

*beware of very picturefied post*

Four Walls Worth Of Space

Happy belated Easter people:)  I haven't been able to update much although I'm on a one week break from uni. Grrr. My family's here! And now all four of us are crammed in my one bed, one bathroom, one sofa, one everything tiny apartment. Yeahhhh..I should probably sound more appreciative that they're here. Don't get me wrong. I am. I have been missing all those late night talks we have, and how we always make fun of one another. I almost forgot the goofball side of my parents. :)

I have not gone shopping in agessssssssssssssss. I think I'll go today. Take advantage of the fact that my parents are here.....and so are their wallets:) I'll update on my Easter weekend camping trip soon. Yup. Michele went into the wilderness.

Let That Record Play

Certain people annoy me. I don't even know what  you are anymore. We should all learn to not care and let go of these people because, why should you let them affect you right? So not worth it.

Anyhooos:):) I am happy because my urgh week, as Carmen calls it, is over. I had a really really bad week and there was so much to do and so much on my mind and so much PMS-ing going around. Now I am just so relieved I have escaped to the other side safe and sound:)

I look like I want to poo poo right?

Teehee. Anyway, that picture was taken from the Victorian College of Arts, where Flare dancers performed in conjunction with some lets-make-friends-with-MelbourneUni thing that they held. Rehearsals were crazily overloading my weeks leading up to the event, but yeah once again, I am happy I made it through without killing myself..or something.

Flare's VCA performers:)

Then the next night, Friday, was the MUOSS Night Market themed 'Le Carnivale'. :) This time for the performance, dancers had to paint their faces according to the pieces they were in.

Ta-da!

I wonder how long it took for that guy to wash off his face paint later.

Easter break starts next week. Yay! We all deserve a holiday after this stressful half a semester. I'll be going camping (yes, like, in the woods) during Easter weekend, and then my family is coming:):):):):)

Hopefully I'll have more updates during the hols. Toods!

LUFWA - because I am feeling beyond awful

There's a reason why I have been over-using the word awful nowadays. Because that's pretty much how everything is like now.

AWFUL.

Don't go to Uni everyone. Stay in school, where sunshine and ponies exist. These days I read too much and sleep too little. I am being forced to sacrifice things, put up with crap, focus, multi-task, keep on my toes and struggle to get everything done right. And there just aren't enough hours in a day anymore.

I need some cheering up.....where's that chocolate pizza!?

Lazy Daisy

Hello all! I am feeling like a lazy daisy. Uni is too much. Maybe this is the initial feeling and maybe i'll get over it and settle in properly in a while. But for now, hello!!!! What's with this never-ending chain of homework and readings that keep pouring in? I am looking at books more than I ever did, and it feels so unnatural to have to keep reminding myself to study. This is bothering me. I cannot live for 3 years like that.

Anyhoos.

I jut returned from ladies night with Shereen and Suet. It was great having big laughs and sharing stories over sparkling wine. But I only get to see them on weekends, since they're in a different uni. Last Friday night, Shereen, Suet, Jiah Lit and I got all ready and were suppose to go for the Back2School event at Seven, but then right! Damn super potong, we were late, and hence, denied entry. The only way to get in was to queue in the general queue, which was basically, un-queue-able because it wasn't moving at all. So Shereen, Jiah Lit, Suet and I gave up and decided to go to another club off Lt. Flinders, which we've never been to before. (I don't even remember the name of it, sigh shows how potonged I felt).

Suet & Wen.

Met Tracy there, whom I haven't seen in so long:)

Saturday was Moomba, the annual water festival thing in Melbourne. Carmen, Shen, Jun Jing, Jiah Lit, Yee Hooi and I went together. I love these sort of fun fair + carnival things. They just give you a happy cheerful feeling. Then later that night we watched the fireworks display, and we were sitting pretty close to the water, so we got an upclose view:)

Yesterday the Shopaholic movie finally came out in Australia, so a few of us went to watch it. I think none of us were really expecting much, cuz you know how book-turned-movies are like. Butttt, it wasn't bad at all, if you can mentally erase how disappointing Luke Brandon turned out to look like. Successful Savings??!? Plus the facial hair, and a bad haircut. But overall, it was a light-hearted, entertaining movie that really did make me go awww at times:)

Oh and its official, Yee Hooi and I will begin cooking for Jesse the chef once a month. Yay, and hopefully he'll give some pointers on how to improve our cooking. Domesticism is on its way!

Til next time:) Toodledoo!

Michele & Her Extravagant Spending

...will end as of now. I am now bearing the consequences of excessive spending, reckless use of the direct debit card and a soft spot for shiny new things. Though shopping always puts a smile on my face and gives me this warm euphoric feeling..

I'VE GOT TO PUT A FULLSTOP TO IT.
Why the sudden epiphany? Because I am left with 10% of my monthly allowance, and its the 8th day of the month. Trouble much. I am broke because I spend like a gambling addict in a casino.

Dear Self-Control, please find me:)

The Sociological Imagination

Did you know? People don't commit suicide because of personal issues eg. bad grades or heartbreak, but their relationship and sense of belongingness in society. So old people are more inclined to the idea of taking their own lives because they feel less attached to the world since they've 'had their shot at life' and their time is up. And suicide rate among women are generally lower because females form stronger ties and have deeper relations with others compared to men. Right right? Something I picked up in Sociology.

Anyhoos, here's one single picture from the Amazing Race last week. The person who took the photos had a bad quality camera, so the pictures I have are crappy, so I will only spoil your eyes with one picture.

Sunday night, Jiah Lit and I had a heehee, post-valentine's day valentine's day. Since we didn't get to celebrate valentine's back in malaysia, he took me to Hardware Lane (spelling?) for  good steak and good wine and umm, lots of toasting. I think I should ban myself from consuming too much cow.

Dear Shennie, thank you for the super pretty cupcake! I feel sad eating it up:) And thank you for leaving it along with a cute note at my doorstep. And thank you dear unknown passer-by who might have seen the cupcake on the floor but did not steal it despite its 'ooh this could be yummy' appearance.

Look at Yee Hooi. Black stockings, umbrella , LBD and all, looking noob on a rainy day...

:)
