Week O

Hello! Orientation week just passed and umm, there's nothing much to say. So I will just put up a bunch of pictures I took using my new baby, Daisy the iphone.

MY NEW HOME

O WEEK

First day of orientation.

Meet Shennie, the 5 year old:)

The chicken that I mistook for a penguin.

When Jiah Lit came back to Melbourne.

Neighbour!

Rowing his boat.

Look at me being miss handyman.
Teehee:)

The Melb Uni Amazing Race.

One of the 'pitstop' tasks: sucking a tissue with straws. Oh and our team colour was pink! And we were the only team who were colour coordinated. Whee:) I will try to find more pink-filled pictures from someone's camera:)

Now that Week O is done, my first semester of uni officially starts on Monday. My subjects have finally been approved and timetable arranged (after an entire week of stressing and tantrums and fits over my bad luck with whoever approves the subjects as well as mr. student portal). Yay I have Fridays off and I get to sleep in on Monday. This sem I'll be taking Introductory Microeconomics, Finance 1, Quantitative Methods 1 and Sociology. Oh btw I love my new shoe racks. My 20+ pairs of shoes look so neat:) Stray thought.
Hugs and kisses.

Settled

I think I finally got my Melbourne mojo back. After moving into my new room, and finally getting it to look like home, I am happy again :) I cannot live rested in a place that doesn't feel homey. Have been doing alot of shopping with the girlfriends, and its not just clothes, but household stuff too, my favourite:) I bought a beanbag footstool today for no reason. I finally met Miss Miow Miow today after months of not seeing her. I've missed all our fun conversations and similar wavelengths of food cravings. Darling your house is definitely better than your last:) And I have decided, I am going to turn domestic this year. Or at least, I'll try to.

Michele will: clean her house more often, keep it tidy, learn to cook and do her chores consistently.

Subject selections are giving me a headache! Why won't you approve my subjects you stupid portal. I want my updated timetable now! *bangs fist on the table and all the papers fly up*

How much can I take before I crack?

A Mariah Carey-esque Breakdown

Michele has not died:) After a traumatic first few days of moving on top of the lack of sleep, I am alive and well.

I love my new place:):):) Ooh maybe I should do a house-warming thing. And its even more fulfilling cuz I unpacked, cleaned, sorted and arranged everything all with my own 2 hands. *pat pat* I turned down my mum's kind offer to come to Melbourne with me to help me move, just cuz I wanted to do it myself. Haha probably cuz I know that if she comes, she'll do everythingg by herself and not let me touch anything. She can't help it. Lol. Thanks Ryan, Sha, Nicole, Eric and Vincent for helping me with the heavy lifting, loading, carting and unloading. Kisses even though you might not want them:)

I miss my two bitches.

Let's Step Outside Just For Awhile

 "All we know is distance.
We're close and then we run.

           Kiss away the difference.
I know you hate this one.
So this is how the story ends.  Or have we just begun? "

I am in love with The Fray.

Will be leaving for Melbourne tonight. Hugs and kisses to all my lovies:) It won't be soon before long.

Bye and see you on the other side:)

Bye Penang!

I am leaving tomorrow night:( Coming home, leaving again, coming home, leaving again. You would think it gets easier the 3rd time around. But its hard to leave behind things that I know I'll miss the moment I'm back in Melbourne. But at the same time, I'm happy to go back. So I will not complain and just look ahead. I want Big Mama already!

Darren's birthday was on Friday:):)  Haha D you better have meant it when you said "Thank God for Chris Brown or else I wouldn't have been be able to spend my birthday with you two". Chili's was yummy, and the molten chocolate cake tasted better this time around. The dude who served us the cake came back the next round and found the plate already sparkly-clean:) ''Huh? So fast finish already ar?"

Photos taken at my house, before all the karaoke-ing and croaking began:)

Since I won't be back in April, Sher Lyn decided to give me some advanced birthday presents when she slept over. This sneaky woman planned a treasure hunt in my own room, preparing everything while I was in the house without my knowledge. I don't know how she found the time/opportunity to hide things all around my room. Haha with hidden clues and everything to boot. It took me awhile to find everything cuz yeah, apparently I don't know my own room very well. That was such a sweet thing to do and I love you sue sue:)

Being the rational and practical half of two of us, she gave me practical gifts, like socks because I might get cold in Melbourne, hand lotion because I seem to always carry them around, Famous Amos cookies because I complain about my constant cravings for them etc.

XOXO

Yum yum.

Three cheers for the spa appointment later. Better loosen those muscles in preparation for all that heavy carting, loading, unpacking, arranging that will come in 2 days, ie. MOVING APARTMENTS. I cringe at the thought.

Caught

So this is what she has come to be.
So many years of riding on her high horse, thinking she was wiser than the others, so convinced that her wisdom and fear of regret would make her think twice before placing the bet, because she was so sure she was playing her cards right. You see, leaps are for fools: you've got to treat life with caution. At least, that was what she chose to believe in. Well, the jokes on her. Lies, lies, lies! That's what all of this is. Nothing but phony stories and meaningless mind-games conjured up in this make-believe fairytale she calls her life. I'm tired of denying reality, she whispers. Why? Because, instead of facing the real world, she always opts to shut herself here in this drawing room, covering the bare, white walls with stories of her own. Look, she's painting a pretty picture. And you better believe she makes sure its always pretty. In others' eyes, at least. She is ardently convinced her life would be better that way. Why show the ugly side of life? Why willfully choose to reveal the skeletons she tries so hard to keep burried? So people can think lesser of me? She scoffs at the thoughtInstead, she paints, that's what she does. She paints with words. She colours her life rich with fantasies and tales of dream-come-trues. Stories that make even the most non-believing of non-believers get carried away by her words. Well. The paint...the paint is slowly chipping off. Tick-tock-tick-tock, she watches the pastels get chipped away with time. You just can't escape time. It reveals the truth. She knows she has gone too far, so disillusioned by her own lies that she doesn't even know who this artist is anymore. Ripped and shredded, the painting is torn down by the very same hands that gave it life. She is angry. How did she let herself get this way?

Now everything is gone. The walls are closing in on her, and she cannot fit behind her lies anymore. The murals of fantasies and tales of dream-come-trues vanish. Disappeared the very same time her conscience returned. The four walls around her are now bare and white again. No more. No more. No more, she tells herself. She shakes her head, and takes a deep long breath. It is time to come clean. Now...where do I begin?

This is the place where memories lie.

I Never Said Thank You For That, Now I'll Never Have A Chance

I am currently writing this semi-conscious because my body is tired and my brain is fried. I want to sleep but its too early because I need to digest the pancakes I just ate. Licking lips.

Friday after Bride Wars (I love Kate Hudson's Vera Wang), Caca drove Sher and I to Tao to join some others for yummydelicious japanese food. I greedily overloaded on abalone, Sher on squid and some other person ordered too much fish. A very worth-it buffet. So since I ate so much that night, the next morning must burn it all right right:) Went hill-hiking/bungalow-scopeing with Darren in the weeeeee hours of the morning ie. 9am. Haha but only to indulge in dim sum shortly after. Then Jiah Lit arrived! So I brought him, his sister and their friends around to all the major local attractions, which in Penang terms directly translates to makan places. :):) In my opinion, I make a sucky tour guide, cuz I don't really know my way around and I get people lost. Then on Sunday I had to wake up super early again because the others were dropping Jiah Lit off at my place during breakfast time while they whisked away to Batu Ferringhi. Oh I finally watched Inkheart and Look For A Star. My favourite line of subtitle from Look For A Star was 'Boobs and Kisses'. Hahaha its damn funny I don't know why:) Everyone should start saying that now instead of xoxo.

Okay I am A.D.D and don't feel like writing anymore. To sum it up, the past two and a half days were spent with Jiah Lit whom I haven't seen in two months. And it was the best:)

Toodles!

I'm keeping silent because I'm smiling.

Lei Sek Cho Fan Mei?

Hehe that was me trying my hand at cantonese. Have you eaten seems to be a way of greeting among chinese people.

I've finally found the oomph slash patience to upload pictures of my chinese new year trip to Hong Kong and Macau. The trip was fulfilling in ways other than satisfied stomachs. Smazinggg food, addictive shopping and qualityfamilytime heaven. You couldn't ask for more:)

Good Morning from HK!
