This is Me Being Bored

Internet back here is so much faster! Woohoo! Picture-upload time.

Back during Spring Break in September, I moved out of College Sq. and into Verve. So a housewarming followed:) But there weren't pictures of the food nor the house:/ Weird.

All photos in this post - courtesy of Izzie, Nicole and Wen Ting.

Next up, a trip up to Mount Dandenong with Caitlin, Eric, Carmen, Shen, Nicole, Pei Qi, Alastair, Wen Ting and Jun Jing. We stayed in this cute, countryside, traditionally-English-type cottage. Apparently, it usually caters to couples, so the dude was pretty shocked to see 10 young kids taking up his cottage. In retrospect, we were seriously shameless posers the whole trip, yeahh....just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Charades!

Truly Amazed

This is my final day here in Melbourne for 2009. Leaving on the 3.40pm MAS flight back to KL then Penang.

I am done with First Year.
I am done with being a "fresher".
I am done being a 'teen' in Melbourne.

And the list goes on..

For me, this year marked so many personal milestones and so many 'firsts' that at the end of this long journey, I stand here truly amazed at how blessed I am. Peace is not a permanent state, it exists only in moments. The trick is to know when they are happening, so that we can embrace them, live in them.. and finally, let them go. Trust Derek Shepherd to get it right.

Thank you to my family, my friends in Melbs, my friends in Penang (however little I saw of you, know that I missed you guys and thought of you a lot this year), my boyfriend, as well as all the little encounters I've had this year - each and every one of you has shaped what is now one heck of a kick-ass year.

BEST. YEAR. EVER.

Well, its finally time to let this one go.

I Put My Daydreams In A Teapcup

I only ever feel like blogging when I'm in a library haha. Which sucks because then I don't have any photos to upload:) Anyhoos, library is the new home for us Melb Uni students because exams commence next week. So everyday, we stock up on our jelly Squirms, Starbursts, coffee cups, lecture notes and laptop, and head off to the libraries to mug.

Kinda like the title of one of those Facebook groups - "I learn 90% of my course the week before exams''. Hear hear! Studying is such a drag. Its times like these when I think, Haiya how would be like if i didn't study Commerce? Maybe study fashion instead, or go to acting school....how fun.

I put my daydreams in a teacup, sip them away, and move on with my work.

After exams, hopefully when I'll have more time to blog, I'll upload all the overdue pictures from Halloween, Flare production, and our Dandenong trip. Oh oh and I think my flight back to Penang is confirmed for the 3rd of December! Yayyyyy! Can't wait:)

Til then.
Toodies!!

I Don't Know What You're Doing To Me With Your Love

I am losing focus and getting so distracted. By nothing in particular. Just that I am getting complacent with uni. Finals are in two weeks, and I am less than prepared, to say the least. I shall NOT be weak. What I am doing right now is definitely not good enough. Gah:(

On a happier note, tonight is the finale for Maelstrom 2009. It has been one hell of a ride, this whole year. And the end is just so bittersweet. Lets put on a great show later, and let them be so amazed that their eyes pop out, and then get them on their knees looking for their popped-out eyes.

Tick tock tick tock

Here I am, sitting in the Law library, with law notes sprawled in front of me, sipping my FREE Vittoria caffe latte and feeling very zen. Finally, I get a little bit of a sit-down and some me-time, after so many days of tiring rehearsals, practices, quick meals on-the-go, chaos and backstage madness. I am actually appreciating time in the library, where its all quiet and I get to do my work in peace. How weird is that.

Its only been a week since spring break ended, and it already feels like it was eons ago. Have no time to upload many pictures, so just one for each occasion?

My housewarming.
It was a pot luck and EVERYONE brought such great food, yumms:) Thanks guys!

Dandenong trip.
We stayed at the cutest, most homey cottage ever. I am very amused.

Guest performance at FDC's production.
I love polaroid shots, don't you?

And finally, following in Carmen's footsteps, here's the promo video for our upcoming annual production, Maelstrom. It was done by Flare's very own, Daryl and Bee Bee, and features the Flare dancers. Watch it!! I love it:)

The Arts

Can I just please talk about how friggin amazing Beyonce is?

(Awesome photography alert! mostly taken by none other than our resident photographer, Nicole Hew)

Needless to say, her concert was spectacular! And that's not even a good enough word to describe it. Such a talented, sexy, classy, glamorous and inspiring but nevertheless humble+down-to-earth woman. Zomg for those of you in Malaysia, I highly-recommend that you go watch her concert in KL in October. Tickets may be uber expensive but hey she's a diva-entertainer extraordinaire, what do you expect?

Honey, if you like it then you should've put a ring on it.

Better Days

Its truly been awhile everyone! But here I am, three assignments and two law tests down:) Spring break starts next week, and I am sooo looking forward to it.

Work-wise, this has been a very overbearing semester. But we always manage to find some fun in everything!
My personal favourite night at Seven so far (besides my birthday last year).

Vincent lost in his own world.

Flare darlings.

Flare Dance Camp 2009! At lake eppalock.

It had cabins, bunk beds, campfires, rope courses, archery, and the works! And lovely, umm what do you call them? House-parents? Who prepared us 6 delicious meals a day:O

International Suit-Up Day, with a female twist:)

There were many august babies among us, and thus celebrations came pouring in one after another throughout the month. Happy belated birthday Ryan, Izzie and Wen Ting! <3>

Mid-review at Dancehouse.

Merdeka Celebration @ CQ Bar. 'Negaraku' and 'merdeka!' chants echoed at midnight. Who knew people could be so enthusiastic about singing (I mean, screeching out) the national anthem.

Look its Kenny Sia!

Melb Uni's Festival of Nations! Our darling Yee Hooi (the one in the centre) planned the whole thing, don't mess! *beams* Lovely photo captured by Izzie.

Okay thats all for now. Toooooods!
